Terms of Service
Effective date: April 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MathWiz (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MathWiz is an AI-powered math tutoring tool that provides step-by-step solutions, learning insights, and explanations for mathematical problems. The Service is intended for educational purposes only.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
4. Free and Pro Plans
Free users receive a limited number of solutions as described on the pricing page. Pro subscribers receive unlimited solutions for a monthly fee. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis and are non-refundable except as described in Section 5.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days’ notice to active subscribers. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with your Pro subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase by contacting us at help@mathwiz.io. After 7 days, subscription charges are non-refundable. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or violates any third-party rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service
- Use automated tools to generate solutions at scale for resale or redistribution
- Circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Impersonate any person or entity
7. Academic Integrity
MathWiz is a learning aid, similar to a textbook solutions manual or private tutor. You are responsible for complying with your school’s academic integrity policies. Submitting AI-generated solutions as your own original work may violate your institution’s honor code. We are not liable for any disciplinary consequences arising from your use of the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and software comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to MathWiz. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any problems you submit but grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of providing the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that solutions will be 100% accurate. Always verify important calculations independently.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MathWiz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
